• You have encountered an opportunity that appears "too good to be true" or promises "easy money" returns, especially if it originates from an unsolicited online group invitation.
• You are instructed to lie or hide the true purpose of your purchase.
• You are asked to use unfamiliar methods such as crypto or gift cards to pay a government fine, utility bill, secure a job offer, fix a computer virus, clear an arrest warrant, resolve jury duty or secure your bank account.
• You found a job offer that encourages or requires you to make an investment using crypto.
• You are asked to deposit funds into an account to gain access or to withdraw funds from an account.
• Someone is requesting or currently has remote access to your device for any reason.
• Someone you’ve met through an online relationship is asking for money transfers or deposits as a condition of the relationship.
